Americans must not allow themselves to be fooled by the deceptive Republican and Tea Party

I am a Belizean American Citizen who has been living in the United States of America since 1978 and served voluntary in the US Army when I was stationed in West Germany during the Cold War with the 8th Infantry Division Mechanized. Since coming to this country I have lived under the Administration of presidents; Carter, Reagan, George Bush Sr. Bill Clinton, George Bush Jr. and now Barack Obama the first Black President of America. The worst experiences I have had was under Reagan, and the two Bushes father and son all Republican presidents. These Presidents ordered our troops into war and had nothing prepared for them after they had fought the wars. President Reagan’s wars were Grenada and Lebanon, George Bush Sr. Panama and Iraq and George Bush Jr. Iraq-2 and Afghanistan. The only time President Clinton ordered the use of our forces was in Somalia and Yugoslavia after all diplomatic efforts have failed.
These wars fought by these Presidents were avoidable but serves the best interest of the corporations who have and continue to finance the Republican Party over the years such as Halliburton. Yet, they told the American people that these wars were in our nation’s best interest and we had no choice but to fight them. They cost trillion of dollars that could have been used to help most of the citizens here in this country solve their domestic problems like; unemployment, homelessness, immigration, housing, education, crime, drugs, gangs, welfare etc. Whenever members of the Democratic Party would sponsor legislations to deal with these domestic problems the American people are facing, they would utilize all their efforts to block or kill the legislations. These people have no sympathy, unkind and merciless.
Whenever they launch a campaign, they use issues that are decisive such as; abortion, same sex marriage, school prayer, religion, wasteful spending, national security, deficit to confuse and divide the American people just to regain power in order to serve the interest of the people they continue to represent the wealthy. President Clinton despite his deployment of troops in Somalia and Yugoslavia left over a trillion dollars in surplus for the George Bush Jr. administration to spend on domestic programs for the American citizens. In his first term in office, he declared war against Afghanistan and Iraq and the surplus melted like a block of ice. There are those who saw the justification for the war after 911 but others like me who believe that if the election was not stolen in Florida and Gore was President, the incidents that occurred under the Bush Presidency would have never happened.
When George Bush Sr. came to power he downsized the US Armed Forces and closed several Military installations which placed several Veterans on the unemployment roll. Unemployment benefits for Veterans was one year and he reduced it to six months. Also, Veterans who left the service were entitled to free medical treatment at any VA hospital once they were given a Honorable discharge. He changed that to only Veterans who can show proof that they are unemployed. These policies were in place that after Desert Storm when these Veterans started to come home they were experiencing joblessness, homelessness, mental problems and more problems than the average American citizens.
Before Obama became President many people including myself did not believe that Americans were going to elect a Black man as President and if elected they will do everything in their power to make his Presidency fail so that Americans don’t elect another minority as President again. Since President Barack Obama became President, it seems to me as if these Republicans stay up all night to do every and anything in their power to block all his policies and initiatives. Americans must stop fooling themselves about this racist party. The people who control the Republican Party are a group of rich White men who foster this belief that America belongs to them and them alone and as such only them should benefit from what America has to offer. In their party they have some blindfolded Blacks, Hispanics and other minority ethnic groups to make it look as if they serve the interest of all but those people are getting paid but in the end they will realize that they are only being used and abused.
In the month of November elections will be held throughout the United States for Federal, State and Local elections. Americans better don’t make the mistake and vote for anybody who is a member of the Republican Party. For if they make that mistake, the consequences will be so severe that they will give the Republicans a golden opportunity to reverse all the gains their ancestors made from the sixties to improve their living conditions. Actions speak louder than words and from the way they have been treating this President who is trying to improve our living conditions, they do not deserve to get our votes.
The downsizing of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan is in progress and many of our Veterans will be coming home soon to join the jobless and homeless that we have disrespected over the years. The Republicans refuse to believe that White men do not make up the majority of people in this country no more. Also, that in a democracy the majority rule and all studies indicate that those people will be the Hispanics who are suffering the same faith like Blacks and other minority groups in America over the years. As long as I live in America, I will be supporting the Democratic Party because the only change the Republican Party has to make is a change to become worst.
